What is CORRA?

CORRA is the Colorado Office of Resource and Referral Agencies, Inc., a private non-profit organization. CORRA coordinates a statewide system of organizations dedicated to enhancing the quality and availability of child care in Colorado.

    What is CORRA's mission?
    CORRA works collaboratively to:
    • Promote development of and universal access to quality child care;
    • Support and empower families and providers; and
    • Impact child care policy and systems change.

How does CORRA accomplish its mission? CORRA focuses on helping four important groups.
    CORRA helps Families with:
    • Free child care referrals to approved providers throughout Colorado.
    • Information on balancing child care and work.
    • Resources on child care consumer education, early education and parenting.
    CORRA helps Child Care Providers with:
    • Technical support for individuals or programs offering child care
    • Tuition assistance for professional development.
    • Grants to improve the quality of child care programs.
    CORRA helps Employers with:
    • Connections between employers and their communities
    • Answers to help you better understand the state of child care for employees.
    • Cost saving ways to address child care for employees.

    CORRA helps the Community by:
    • Offering original research on the state status of child care in Colorado
    • Providing Resource and Referral services for all 63 Colorado counties.

Child Care (def.): Encompassing any purchased care of children ages of 0-12.
Early education (def.): Since children learn continuously during waking hours, all child care setting are considered educational environments.
